A journey into the spaces between shouting and silence.
There are more of us in the world who suffer from the prevailing conditions than the few who "prevail" - why are we silent? What prevents us from stepping out of inertia and stopping the madness of normality?
Russian women went to the front to bring their sons back. They went to the battlefield to stop the killing with their physical presence and their strength.
This inspired the composition Screaming Mamas (Ars Acustica).
The performance: a journey of discovery. It is a journey into our own emotional world, to the point where we begin to believe in our own power, our own ability to change. Dance, music, speech and media intertwine, divide, fertilize, arouse, disturb, stir, make us laugh and cry.
